Yuneec Breeze 4K Specification

Overview

The Yuneec Breeze 4K is a Multirotors drone that was released by Yuneec in 9/2016.

A multirotor drone is a multiple propeller, vertical lift drone. These drones are more maneuverable due to their flight profile, being able to fly much closer to buildings and other obstacles. Multi-rotor drones like the Yuneec Breeze 4K also tend to be faster to deploy, and tend to be significantly cheaper to acquire and operate.

The battery capacity inside is 1150 mAh.

Performance

The Yuneec Breeze 4K sits on the slower side of drones, with a max speed sitting around 3.54 km/h. This might not be a bad thing though, so it really depends on why you're looking at buying the drone. If you're happy with a slightly slower drone then this one could be what you're after.

With a range that falls under the 1km mark at 0.1 km, it's definitely on the lower side of drones. This will be plenty for an occasional, line of sight flight drone, particularly with toys, but if you're looking to fly something with a little more range than this drone definitely isn't for you.

Flight time isn't amazing with the Yuneec Breeze 4K at 12 min, so if you're after a drone that can go and go, this won't be it. You might find yourself swapping out the batteries, or just recharging the drone a bit more often than you would with others. Great for a toy, but not for any sort of serious hobby or professional use.

Overall, the Breeze 4K by Yuneec is designed for those who are somewhat of a drone hobbyist, people who want small snippets of their day captured to treasure for years to come, and those who are both rolled up into one.

The little Yuneec Breeze 4K makes shooting and sharing aerial selfies a snap. But those looking to really pilot a drone should keep looking.

Essentially a toy model with a nice enough camera to take selfies, but doesn't capture quality video footage

The YUNEEC Breeze 4K offers high resolution in a tiny package. That tiny package also means it can easily be pushed around by its namesake breeze and that it lacks the space for a proper gimbal. Footage from this drone is, consequently, much shakier than from any of the gimbal models we tested. Its camera has a minuscule sensor and produces unimpressive footage. This small copter can function well as a portable selfie machine or a great toy for a kid., and it is also small enough that crashes aren't very consequential. However, it just isn't cut out for capturing majestic shots. If you're looking for an actual filmmaking tool, check out the DJI Mavic Air.

The Yuneec Breeze 4K is a small and simple-to-fly drone that takes decent video, but it's worth spending a bit more to get better results.

It isn't the cheapest, best or most flexible. It's a fun little drone, but at $500, costs too much for what is easy to dismiss as a quadcopter selfie stick. If you are serious about shooting aerial video, spend the extra money on a more sophisticated model like the DJI Mavic Pro. If you want a similarly priced video drone that can fly faster and further, get the Parrot Bebop 2.

I had no trouble finding the Breeze for $380 all over the web, and it was even less at some stores. At that lower price, I have no qualms saying the Breeze makes a great buy for anyone looking to get into drone photography. Welcome, newcomers.

The Yuneec Breeze 4K Drone is a good option for people who take selfies seriously. It has 16GB of inbuilt memory that can be accessed via a USB cable and with its app controller, users are only a few clicks from sharing their amazing shots with the world. All in all, the Breeze is a solid selfie drone that should be flown carefully since it lacks the ability to detect and avoid obstacles. Also, fans of the Breeze may find it worthwhile to invest in additional batteries to prolong usage time beyond its 20min limit.
